Fall Down, Go Boom

I have a pair of inversion boots. I looked these for years before finally buying a pair.

I sold or gave away almost everything I had before moving to Malaysia but I kept my inversion boots.

I know that it sounds strange, but hanging upside down is really relaxing. Instead of gravity pulling down on your body it pulls up on your body. This stretches your spine out and brings more blood to your brain.

I used to practice headstands, but they put a lot of pressure on your spine. Inversion doesn't put any pressure on your spine.

In the states I had a pullup bar mounted that I would use to hang upside down and to do other exercises. Here in Malaysia I bought a pullup bar that twists to expand in a doorway.

Today I wanted to hang upside down, so I took the bar out, and put it up and did a few pullups, then I went to test the bar before hanging upside down.

BAM!!!!

It came down when I tested it, I fell on my back, punched myself in the face and hurt my left wrist.

Siew heard the noise and came running to check on me. :-)

Luckily I tested it before trying to flip upside down to hang upside down! If not I could have seriously been injured.

I need a more secure pullup bar!

I think that there is some dirt on the rubber pads of this pullup bar and that when I did pullups I didn't tighten the bar again afterwards, so this caused the bar to slip.

I'm going to try it again here in a little bit, but I'll carefully clean the pads and tighten the bar before trying to hang.

I may end up looking like someone punched me in the eye!

Edit:
I just finished hanging upside down without falling down. :-P Later I need to get a more secure method of hanging so I can also do stomach exercises. Nothing better than upside down toe-touches to work your stomach muscles!

I'll tell you what the joke is for comic number 28:

How do you mend a broken jack o' lantern?
    With a pumpkin patch!

Camron, that took a bit to get, had to flip back and forth between the image and a document. OCR doesn't work on windings, damnit!
